Halloween 2008
Nico started showing some real signs of improvement on Friday. He was pretty excited about the prospect of going over to grandma’s house, and was willing to put on a “costume” to help cinch the visit, but he was adamant about not trick or treating (“NO NO NO!”). I’ve discovered over the years that parenting is 10% eating and pooping and 90% presentation, and so with a minor adjustment “trick or treating” turned into “knock on doors and get candy from people”, and Nico’s interest was peaked.
Sadly, we forgot the camera. I did get a couple of photo’s of the boy on his horse-ship before we left for Grandma’s. You can tell he’s not feeling his best.

And I’ve got a couple from the week before, but they’re not so great.

I sure wish I’d taken some photos of him playing in his costumes. I’d been counting on Halloween for my momentos. But, at least the kid was able toi beat the streets a bit, without filling up anyone’s candy bowl with spontaneous projectiles.

he looks like one stoned pirate.
so that’s the costume he went with?
