Totally counts
I suppose the name itself should have tipped me off to the trouble inherent with external hard drives. Luckily, it only took a day to turn ours up, though it was a very frustrating day.
Have I discussed the untimely demise of my previous laptop? I guess it didn’t die so much as it was reassigned. I managed to drop it at such an angle that one of the two hinges holding the screen broke irreparably, resulting in permanent black screen. Fortunately, this was the only issue. Double Fortunately, my desktop was on some serious last legs and was really pissing me off with all the space it was wasting. So, the desktop became a white trash computer stand an archive of sorts, and I hooked the laptop up to our beautiful, under-utilized monitor. In this way, the functionality of our stationary setup was improved radically. But, it’s hard to go back once you’ve tasted the freedom of mobile computing. And the idea of taking on the month of November all chained up was inconceivable. So, Blog meet LT2. LT2 meet blog. Hello everybody.
Er, uh. So, I’ve been sorely lacking in the photo department this last week, tossing up just the minimally available My Pictures. The slim pickings have been compounded by the twice-annual camera breaking event, followed by corrupt photo card event that have finally been remedied. (I hope, to be determined since I have yet to come across the perfect $1,000,000 picture opportunity which is the true test of whether a camera will fail). SO, I went on the hunt to find that misplaced hard drive to begin the transfer process. Process is now started. In the meantime I found a picture disk that mom gave me after our first Pumpkin Patch ‘09 trip. Enjoy.
